At the end of the semester, faculty members are alerted to the need to report final grades in SIS via the Faculty Center. Faculty members are asked to consult with the Office of the Registrar as needed so that any questions about final grade reporting may be answered.
In fall and spring semesters, final grade reports must be submitted in SIS to the Office of the Registrar by noon on the first Monday after the Friday of Finals Week. It shall be the joint responsibility of the campus Executive Vice Chancellor/Chancellor, faculty governing body, and the campus Registrar to determine the appropriate time interval and to establish this as campus final grades guidelines.
If grade reports are turned in after the deadline, the Registrar cannot be responsible for informing the deans and students of the late grade, and the faculty member is required to so inform them. Negative impacts on students of late final grade reports can include delayed academic standing processing, delayed certification of graduation, and challenges in academic advising and schedule changes for students based on their final grade performance in a fall or spring semester.
