Residents of select states will automatically receive the MSEP rate, which represents a reduction in the out-of-state rate of tuition.
The program discount is now noted as a tuition rate rather than as a scholarship to avoid a delay in the discount being posted. The discount will appear as Indiana Partner rate on the bursar statement.
If you are an out-of-state student eligible for the MSEP award, you will see the Indiana Partners rate on your Bursar bill. You will be charged the Indiana Partner rate, which is equal to out-of-state tuition minus the amount of the MSEP waiver.
Who is eligible for the tuition discount?
States offered this discounted tuition rate for students are from Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, and Wisconsin studying at IU Kokomo.
Students must be enrolled in an on-campus degree seeking program to be eligible. (Online programs are not eligible.)
Why does this matter?
You were originally awarded the “Midwest Exchange Waiver” and we will be replacing the award from your financial aid with the tuition showing the discount automatically. This does not mean you are losing any money. We are just simplifying the process so you can better understand your bill.
NOTE: This change does not change the amount of discount you will receive.
