Total Transfer General Education Core: 30 credits minimum
Please NOTE: The State of Indiana mandates that any campus certifying the Indiana College Core require a minimum of 3 credits in each of these six areas, plus an additional 12 credits of the institution’s choosing to reach the 30-credit total. IU Kokomo’s General Education program also totals 30 hours and thus reflects the 18-credit minimum and additional 12-credit distribution. Students completing the IU Kokomo General Education program also complete the ICC; completing just 3 credits in these 6 areas at IU Kokomo will not lead to IU Kokomo certifying the ICC for a given student.
The Indiana College Core does not add to, subtract from, or change any requirements for a major. Students should always work closely with an advisor to determine what relationship, if any, exists between requirements for general education and requirements for a specific major.
