Biography

Dr. Krabbenhoft is the Director of the KEY Center for Innovation at IU Kokomo. Prior to taking on this role he served as Dean of the School of Business from 2014-2021. In his role as Director of KCI, Dr. Krabbenhoft is involved with identifying opportunities for students to serve as part of a team of consultants or individually to assist an organization in addressing a critical need. Engaging students in this type of experiential learning not only helps the organization and local community but also provides the student valuable work experience. Over the course of his career Dr. Krabbenhoft has supervised over 60 projects involving more than 250 students. In addition to his leadership of KCI, Dr. Krabbenhoft also teaching courses in the Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics..

Dr. Krabbenhoft earned his Ph.D. in Economics at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.  His teaching and research interests include economic development, financial management and management consulting.  He is the author of several book chapters, a sizable number of peer reviewed journal articles, multiple reference works and has presented his work at conferences both in the U.S. and abroad.  He also is a regular contributor of articles for the local press.
