Meal Plans

Meal plans are available to any person who has been admitted to and will be enrolled as a student at the IU Kokomo campus. Meal Plans can be purchased through One.IU. Fees will be posted to your Bursar account. 

Hours can be found on the Cougar Country Café and Ground Up Café web pages.

CrimsonCash can be added to your CrimsonCard at any time.

Each time you make a purchase using your meal plan, your receipt will have the balance at the bottom.  In case you do not have a receipt, you can visit the CrimsonCard management site to find your current balance.

Balances will carry over until funds are used unless student requests a refund for the unused portion.

Note: Bonus Cash is non-refundable.

1. Meal plans are available to any person who has been admitted to and will be enrolled as a student on the IU Kokomo campus.
2. Meal plans are voluntary.

1. Your Cougar Meal Plan is effective and binding for the full academic year for the term indicated at the time of purchase. Plans begin the first day of the semester and continue until account balance is used in full.
2. Students should purchase a meal plan each semester if a meal plan for the academic year is desired.
3. Meal Plans must be purchased by the Thursday prior to the beginning of each semester.
4. There is limited service during Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and any day the campus is officially closed, i.e. snow days, etc. The café is closed during these breaks when students are not on campus and there are no classes.
5. The terms and conditions begin on the date of meal plan purchase.
6. You are expected to retain your meal plan for the full duration.
7. Your Cougar Meal Plan balance will roll forward to the next semester.
8. If a CrimsonCard account with the Cougar Meal Plan has sustained no activity for a period of 12 months or more and has a positive balance, the account will be determined inactive and assessed a $25 fee and refunded the remainder of the balance. Any credit will be applied to unpaid balances before a refund is issued.

1. Meal Plans are for the exclusive use of the plan holder and are not transferable.
2. The Cougar Meal Plans can be used for purchases at the Cougar Country Café and the Ground Up Café.
3. In the case the CrimsonCard ID picture does not match the person presenting the CrimsonCard, the card will be confiscated and reported to IU Kokomo Campus Police and the Office of Student Conduct.
4. Meal Plans cannot be used at any non-IU Kokomo Food Services locations, vending machines or concession stands. Meal Plans can only be used at the Cougar Country Café or the Ground Up Café.

1. All charges for student meal plans will be placed on the student’s bursar account and will be subject to the same payment deadlines and penalties as other university charges.
2. In the case of non-payment by the due date, meal plans can be deactivated, unless a payment plan has been arranged with the Office of the Bursar.
3. Payment of meal plan charges is not contingent upon receipt of financial aid monies or scholarships. In Meal Plan terms and conditions you are agreeing that you are responsible for all meal plan payments and charges not covered by financial aid assistance or scholarships.
