This competitive scholarship will be earned by a full time student who has a GPA of 3.0, demonstrates financial need and is participating in an IU approved credit-bearing IU Kokomo overseas study class outside Canada and the United States. Preference will be given to a student majoring in business.
This competitive award of $500 is made to any student who travels on any long-term study program (for Summer session, semester or a year) or a shorter-term travel program originating from the IU Kokomo campus.
The scholarship is to be used to support undergraduate scholarships for students who are sophomores, juniors, or seniors, are enrolled in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. The scholarship is not renewable.
Up to 15% of the annual income from this gift may be used to provide support services for Scholarship recipients. Support service expenditures may include, but are not limited to, student travel, social events, guest lectures, academic support, and counseling.
This award goes to IU Kokomo students who travel on campus programs to various locations. This prestigious $1,000 scholarship is awarded to the most competitive applicants for assistance with overseas study costs. In any given year, four $1,000 awards are made. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be a full time student in good standing at the university.
