Before you decide if the M.P.M. program at Indiana University Kokomo is the next step for you, take a look at what you can expect.
What can I expect in the classroom?
When you enroll in the M.P.M. program, you can expect a dynamic, challenging, and fun experience. Classes will be filled with people, from your fellow peers to your professors, from all walks of life who come into the classroom with personal and professional experiences that will help you learn and grow. In this program, it’s our goal to challenge you. With your undergraduate degree, the goal was to help you become a well-rounded citizen. With your graduate work, it’s time to kick it up a notch, helping you specialize and realize your niche. And overall, you can expect fun! While we work hard to learn and grow, you’ll have fun alongside people who care about the same things you care about.
What can I expect outside the classroom?
Expect to be challenged. Our M.P.M. program will take you out of the classroom where you will put those in-class skills to the test with the Practicum in Public Affairs course. Why is this so important? Because learning doesn’t simply come from a course or a textbook, learning comes from doing. It is our goal to get you out there experiencing the things you’re learning in the real world so that when you graduate with your M.P.M., you’re ready to hit the ground running.
