      • Coordinated and facilitated county-wide Resident Educators Program ensuring high quality mentoring for between 10 and 35 beginning teachers each year; Partnered with districts to implement effective large and small-scale professional development and curriculum for all grades and content areas in all county districts to meet short-term and long-range goals, including moving all districts to low state support; Developed gifted brochures and identification plans, as well as Written Education Plans and services to ensure 100% district compliance to state expectations; Facilitated information-sharing between local districts, the region, and the state to leverage strong practices, processes, and procedures through active membership in the regional State Support Team partnership for seven years; Coordinated the Local Professional Development Committee for the Educational Service Center to ensure teachers had support for recertification according to the Ohio Standards for Teaching (August 2006- July 2010)

    • K-12 Gifted Specialist: August 2004-May 2006
      • Developed, compiled, wrote, and implemented gifted education curriculum for grades K-12; Guided K-12 teachers in the use of teaching strategies with gifted students in the regular classroom, resulting in co-teaching with teachers previously resistant to gifted programming and inclusion in district curriculum and instruction improvement planning.

    Rural Village Teacher Presentations, Makeni, Sierra Leone, Africa: 2009

    After establishing needs voiced by rural school teachers in Makeni, Sierra Leone, implemented teacher training that resulted in a mentoring program where government-trained teachers assisted and mentored colleagues without government training for the good of all schools.

    Southwest Ohio Regional Value-Added Leader Facilitator: 2007-2014

    Trained other professionals in the Ohio Value-Added system, including the meaning of reports and questions that could be derived from the data, as well as real world application. Assisted in analysis and support of administrators and teachers, including explaining results to boards of education. Worked with small and large teams using strengths-based decision-making strategies, and by asking critical questions to guide groups to self-sufficiency in analysis of results.

    Preble County Resident Educator Program Coordinator & Facilitator: 2006-2013

    Implemented high quality induction program to county teachers new to the profession. Planned curriculum from initial three-day introductory workshop to monthly meetings that supported resident educators throughout their initial year and beyond. Honored the entry year continuum described by Stanford University research. Adjusted program outcomes and expectations according to State and District requirements, as Praxis III Assessment transitioned to the current Resident Educator State Assessment programming. Mentored entry year teachers in large and small group settings, as well as one-on-one. Served 10-35 teachers per year.

    Instructional Planning Workshops: 2008-2013

    Dedicated to sharing instructional planning frameworks that support teachers work toward student mastery learning, encouraging meta-cognition. Presented in large and small groups, and one-on-one for teachers and administrators.

    Ohio Improvement Process Facilitation: 2008-2013

    Guided district, building, and teacher-level teams through needs assessment and collaborative goal setting. Planned and implemented professional development based on group decisions. Supported teachers and administrators as they shared data, results, and power. Implemented cognitive coaching strategies. District solutions to local issues shared in regional and state venues.

    Facilitator Facilitating Courses in an Online Environment: 2009-2010

    Trained other professionals in delivering course content online, and supported them as students while they learned and applied concepts. Encouraged interaction and completion of course, which was a pre-requisite for course facilitators through eTech. College credits could be achieved through this eight-week course.

    Facilitator Short Cycle Assessment: 2009

    Developed and revised content for this course. Trained other professionals in short cycle assessment online, and supported students as they completed requirements and applied concepts in face-to-face classrooms. Encouraged interaction and completion of course. A college continuing education credit was available for this five-week course.

    Sound Assessment Practices Workshops: 2006-2013

    In large and small group settings, assisted teachers and administrators in various grade levels understand assessment design for a variety of purposes. Emphasized student-centered practices.

    Kentucky Valley Education Cooperative: 2016-2017

    Served as both a process observer as they began a team leadership training project and also higher education team member for the homegrown Perpetual Excellence in Teaching, Leadership, and Learning (PETLL) project.

    National Trail Local School District: 2013-2016

    Recommended updates for the district Continuous Improvement and Gifted Plans; provided needed support for both including professional development and data analysis.

    Preble Shawnee Local School District: 2013-2016

    Recommended updates for the districts Gifted Plans; Provided needed support and data analysis.

    Greene County Educational Service Center: 2013-2014

    Served as Gifted and Value-Added Coordinator assigned to a large suburban district; trained teachers and administrators in use of data, as well as facilitating testing and conducting parent/teacher meetings regarding results; conducted strategic planning meetings and updated district plan; mentored teachers one-on-one to improve instruction.  Teachers assisted moved from below expected growth to at or above expected growth according to achievement testing results.
