Summer Camps

What is FIT Camp?

FIT Camp is a unique program designed for children ages 6-10 who are excited about fitness and starting an active lifestyle! A dedicated staff of SNAHP students will serve as counselors, supervised by SNAHP faculty, providing activities that will engage campers and keep them moving!

What activities will I do at FIT Camp?

Campers will spend their days learning how to live a healthy lifestyle – eating well, getting plenty of rest, practicing stress management strategies, and exercising, while participating in arts, crafts, and sports! IU Kokomo student-athletes will also be present to introduce campers to soccer, track/cross country, baseball, basketball, and volleyball. Days spent making friends and enjoying fun activities will make FIT Camp a highlight of the summer!

What is Health Professions Exploration Camp?

In this interactive camp, students entering 6th, 7th and 8th grades who are interested in a career in healthcare will take part in hands-on experiences to introduce them to a variety of professions, including nursing; occupational, physical, and speech therapies; radiology and medical imaging; dietary; psychology; social work; and pastoral care. Led by IU Kokomo students and overseen by IU Kokomo faculty, students will get an in-depth look at what it takes to work in healthcare!
