When you arrive at the application portal, you will be asked a few general questions to determine what kind of application you will be completing. Once the system correctly identifies your admission status as a Beginning International Student, you will be guided through a series of question.
The $65 application fee is required of all applicants and is non-refundable. You may make payment at the time you submit your electronic application by using your credit card.
You must submit official transcripts, including work already completed and work currently in progress. The records should show a complete list of courses taken, grades received and any diplomas or certificates earned. Transcripts should also indicate the number of credits awarded for each course or the number of hours of classroom, lecture, and laboratory and include information about the school's grading scale.
Applicants will receive information within 5 business days of submitting the application about how to submit supporting documents. You may upload copies of the official academic records through the Atlas account. Original, official documents should then be sent to the Office of International Student Services 2300 South Washington Street, Kelly Student Center (KC), Room 265, Kokomo, IN 46902 directly from your secondary school.
If your official academic records are not issued in English, you must submit an English translation along with your official documents in the original language. The accuracy of the translation must be certified by an appropriate officer at the issuing school, by an appropriate government officer at the ministry of education, or by a U.S. educational Advising Center. If you need assistance, the center in your country can advise you on preparing your academic records for submission.
If English is not your native language, you must demonstrate proficiency in English before you can be admitted to IU Kokomo. While TOEFL is the preferred method of documentation, there are many ways to meet this requirement.
*Please note that all test results must be sent to IU Kokomo directly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Indiana University Kokomo does not accept hand-carried score reports.
