Biography

Foundations of nutrition and health are integral components of patient education. My background has been in physical education, dietetics and athletic training. I teach the nutrition and dietetics classes, as well as several health-related courses and am currently a certified athletic trainer and registered dietitian.

Current society needs have built patterns of health which need to be changed. This has been evidenced by the significant rise in non-communicable disease. It is my goal to put programs in place in the University in order to make a positive impact towards change. Since food and activity are an integral part of our lives, taking measures which enhance good health will drive down the rates of non-communicable disease.
